Futuro Futuro 48″ Positano Wall Range Hood

A quiet line of steel on the wall

The Positano silhouette is spare on purpose. A wide, shallow canopy and a two-piece chimney give designers a collector-quality elevation: one horizontal line, one vertical flue, artisan-crafted in AISI 304. That alloy resists rust and kitchen vapor, so the brushed grain stays even year after year. The telescopic chimney hides the duct or the recirculating path and tunes height from 23 to 43 inches, which lets the same architectural object meet a low soffit or a taller plaster plane. On a 48 inch wall, that geometry matters. The canopy covers a serious range without adding bulk. Designers specify this premium kitchen hood when the backsplash is the hero and the vent hood should complete the line rather than compete with it. Small Futuro lettering on the fascia keeps the brand present without turning the canopy into signage. The result is a refined 48 inch wall range hood that photographs as furniture.

Capture at the edge, conversation in the room

Perimeter suction is the working advantage of this wide canopy. Intake along the rim shapes airflow at the center and the sides, so a 48 inch cooktop is not left with dead corners. The internal whisper-quiet tangential blower sits in a patented sound-absorbing chamber, which is how four speeds can reach 940 CFM while sound stays in the 0.5 to 3.2 sone band. That uncompromising quiet is the luxury of an open plan: you can sear without raising your voice. Delayed shut-off can remain on for fifteen minutes after the last pan, so lingering steam leaves without anyone standing at the wall. A filter cleaning reminder on the illuminated electronic panel tells you when the dishwasher-safe metal mesh wants attention, which keeps capture honest without turning maintenance into a project. Four speeds let a simmer stay gentle and a hard sear stay controlled. This is a 48 inch stainless steel range hood built for how a high-end kitchen actually cooks.

Light you can tune with the room

A full-width LED light strip is recessed along the front underside, so the cooktop is a work surface rather than a cave. Dynamic LED control lets you change brightness and color temperature from warm 2700K toward cool 6000K, which is how a luxury kitchen keeps one lighting story from dining to mise en place. Intensity can be taken down to a glow or raised for prep. The strip is one continuous line, matching the slim fascia instead of dotted spots. The same illuminated panel that runs the blower runs the lamp, plus, minus, and timer icons. Controls stay in the cook's sightline, small enough that the AISI 304 face remains the architecture. That is daily ease as a benefit of a designer-grade wall mount range hood: you do not hunt across a cluttered board while a pan is hot.

Ducted or ductless, same elevation

WL48POSITANO can exhaust outdoors through a 6 inch duct or recirculate when a flue is not in the drawings. Ducted install is the cleaner path for gas and high heat. Ductless keeps a historic wall or a tight chase intact. Either way the telescopic chimney and the T canopy stay the same investment-grade object on the wall. Height above the cooktop is typically 28 to 30 inches for best performance, with the stack absorbing the rest of the ceiling story. Because the piece is wall mount, it belongs to kitchens where the range sits on the perimeter, not on an island. The open back of the chimney is made to sit flush. That is how a 48 inch wall mount range hood becomes part of the elevation rather than a box hung in space.

Living with the Positano

Daily life on this kitchen hood is simple on purpose. AISI 304 takes a wipe. Perimeter suction keeps the wide canopy effective. Four speeds and a delayed shut-off keep air and conversation on the same schedule. Tunable LED light makes the cooktop part of the room. A filter reminder and dishwasher-safe mesh keep the ritual light.
